This Saturday evening for F1 fans and lovers was totally an edge of the seat thriller with amazing competition between the top drivers to take the pole for Sunday’s race in Abu Dhabi. McLaren’s Lewis Hamiton performed consistently and drove a very good race during the Qualifying session. In spite of Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber from Red Bull putting immense efforts for a good show still Hamilton was nowhere to be matched in his 1 minute 41 second finish at the first ever Abu Dhabi F1’s qualifying race. Vettel came second in the session with 1 minute 41.615 seconds a little over Webber’s 1 minute 41.726 seconds. Next came in Rubens Barichello and Jenson Button both from Brawn. McLaren’s Heikki Kovalainen had unexpected problems in the gear box due to which he had to stop his ride. Ferrari’s driver Kimi Raikkonen’s performance wasn’t good enough. With many expectations as well as disappointments, F1’s first day/night race is just a day away.
