INDIA THRASHES AUSTRALIA IN 2nd ODI

The second ODI in the seven match India Australia series took place in Nagpur yesterday on the 28th of October. The 1st one was won by Australia and it was leveled by India’s win. Australia won the toss and captain Ponting elected to field. With amazing play by Gautam Gambhir and Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni after the side had lost three wickets before reaching the score of 100, the target set to Australia was an enormous 355. Dhoni struck a brilliant 124 in just 107 balls. Gambhir scored a good knock of 76. The other top scorers were Suresh Raina who hit 62 and Virender Sehwag who hit 40. The final score was 354 for seven wickets. Australia’s Mitchell Johnson took three wickets for his side. The Australian innings was not as splendid or good enough to beat the tough score and they were all out giving India a 99 run win.
