Liverpool beat Manchester United with the score 2-0 in the premier league match held on the 25th of October at Anfield to the satisfaction of many fans who seriously thought Manchester United deserved to lose. After a number of consecutive poor performances Liverpool showed some spirit and with players like Fernando Torres, Lucas and Nyog who came active at the near end of the game no one could stop them from winning. Nemanja Vidic from ManU was shown the Red card and others to join him included Javier Mascherano. The beginning of the match had some exciting moments too as just 14 minutes into the match ManU’s keeper was stretched to his limits by free kicks from Liverpool’s side. But Van der Sar was quick and clever in averting those. Also, poor misses from Liverpool’s side eluded them from any goals in the first half. Torres hit the first goal 65 minutes into the match followed by a brilliant goal from substitute David Nyog converted from the pass given by Lucas.
