THE PRELAST F1 RACE – BRAZIL

The 2009 Brazilian Grand Prix took place on the 18th of October with over 70 laps for the drivers to complete. Mark Webber from Renault who is in great form won the race in 1 hour 33 minutes approximately. Fellow teammate Sebastian Vettel secured the 4th place after finishing 19.6 seconds later. Robert Kubica from BMW Sauber secured the 2nd place finishing the race 7.6 seconds later. McLaren star Lewis Hamilton who started from pole position came third. Fernando Alonso who started from the 7th position retired along with several others in the accident dominated Sunday race. Alonso got hit against a poor Adrian Sutil’s Force India vehicle and had to retire with rear suspension damage. Ferrari’s Kimi Raikkonen had already brushed wheels against the Force India Mercedes. Furthermore Heikki Kovaleinen’s McLaren, Sebastian Vettel’s Red Bull, Giancarlo Fisichella’s Ferrari and Jarno Trulli’s Toyota were all involved in varied accidents resulting in many drivers unable to complete the race.
