The ATP Stockholm Open that started on October 19th is now approaching its semi final stage. On day 4 of the tournament Marcos Baghdatis defeated Robert Kendrick and Arnaud Clement won against Michael Berrer in a thriller three setter with the scores 3-6, 7-6, 6-1. Meanwhile in the Men’s Doubles quarterfinals Feliciano Lopez and Marc Lopez have been defeated whereas the teams Bruno Soares and Kevin Ullyett, Christopher Kas and Andreas Beck, Stephen Huss and Jeff Coetzee have entered the semi final stage. October 23rd started with high hopes and expectations. Four quarterfinal matches took place. Marcos Baghdatis defeated Arnaud Clement in a close 2 setter 6-4, 6-4. Robin Soderling won the match against Guillermo Garcia-Lopez in an even closer thriller with scores 7-6, 6-4. The other two winners who have entered the semifinal stage are Thomaz Belucci and Oliver Rochus who defeated Joachim Johansson and Jarkko Nieminen respectively. Meanwhile in the Doubles semifinals Simon Aspelin and Paul Hanley defeated Christopher Kas and Andreas Beck to enter the finals of the tournament.
