ATP BNP PARIBAS 2009

The final ATP Masters 1000 event BNP Paribas in Paris, France started on the 8th of November. It is the last tournament of the regular men’s tennis season. Many of the topmost players of the game like Novak Djokovic, Nikolay Davydenko, Andy Murray, Juan Martin Del Potro, Jo - Wilfried Tsonga, Fernando Verdasco and the top seeds in world rankings, Roger Federer from Switzerand who is seeded No.1 for the tournament and Spanish star Rafael Nadal seeded 2nd in the tournament are taking part. A total of 48 players are contending in the Singles category and 24 pairs are participating in the Doubles’ draw. Today’s matches will feature Djokovic, Andy Murray, Juan Martin Del Potro and many other top players. Meanwhile Cilic won against Fernando Verdasco 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 in a thriller. The total price money being offered is € 2,750,000. The tournament is scheduled to go on till the 15th of November.
