Achieve High Search Engine Rankings Using Proven On-Page SEO

The nice part about performing SEO for on page elements is that it’s super easy to do. When you are first starting out, it is not all that hard to make your fair share of mistakes. You must have a solid base of working knowledge before you attempt doing anything. Here are some solid on page factors tutorials you will find useful so you can get started.

Keyword density for any given page is not super critical, although your pages obviously need to mention them. Google and Bing look at keyword density in a different way, but for Google you should stick to somewhere around 2.5% percent for any phase. What you need to do is divide the number of times your primary phrase appears by the overall word count. You can have long or short articles, or posts, on your site; so it is your decision in the process. You do not have to treat this like precision science, and just be sure you write for your audience and not the search engine bots. If you overdo it with optimizing your content it can result in an article that is awkward. Secondary keywords are important too because they tell the search engines what your page is about. Next, make mention of your keyword in your title tag for your webpage since search engine preference is higher for these tags when ranking webpages. As far as page ranking goes it’s better to keep your title focused without overcrowding it with too many keywords which will only confuse the search engines. You’ll get the most benefit by keeping your keywords down to one or two and avoiding the use of special characters. Of course you want to make sure you not to make the mistake of leaving this title blank since it will definitely not get you ranked. The better your title tag the better chance you have of getting the ranking you want for your keyword.

There are other important places on each page where you place your keywords. The first headline tag, H1, is always at the top of each page and bolded plus a little larger. Naturally you want to be displayed for a particular search term, and it is those phrases that you will optimize your pages for.

SEO is tough enough when you do things right, so there is no reason to make life more difficult for yourself by ignoring on-page optimization. Remember, the key to achieving success with search engine optimization of your website is to know the value of choosing the right keywords and using them effectively on your website.
