The Correct Way To Request Links From Bloggers
Anyone who owns a blog wants to get relevant traffic, for without this it’s impossible to make money, build a list, or whatever your goal might be. Without a steady stream of visitors who are looking for information in your niche, your blog won’t get very far. While one of the best ways to get links is to network with other bloggers, many new marketers hesitate to do this. If you fit into this category, you should get over your reluctance and start connecting with other blog owners, especially those in your niche. Remember, if you have good content to offer, getting a link from them will be helping both of you. It’s necessary for you to stress what the other blogger gets from this (relevant content), as you’ll receive better responses this way.
Before you contact a blogger and request that he links to your blog, you should first know if he has already written anything in reference to what you are providing him. In other words, it would not be smart to send a link for anything that is time dated that has already been covered by the blogger. Look at their homepage and go through their most recent posts to determine if they have written on the subject already. This also shows how professional you are in your approach.
Second, you do not have to link up to the blogger before making your request.
But on the other hand, if you have already linked to that blogger, then it would make a wonderful first impression. This proves that you attempted to build a relationship. Although this might not work for every blogger that you request a link from, it does to a point.
Lastly, remember that nothing beats original content when it comes to asking for a link. All bloggers that you ask for a link will be expecting you to supply content that is original and has something new of value. This will make it easier for you to get the backlink. But if you are just linking to another blogger, then the value goes down instantly.
The chances of your getting the link are not that big. So if you link to a story that is not yours, you can put in your own comments or give your opinion on the story.
All in all, creating a blog is easy, even making up the content part is not that complex. But, when it comes to advertisement, you have to do whatever it takes to get your blog links out and at the correct moment.
